Whale watching trips are exciting. On this adventure, you'll see killer whales breach, lobtail, and hunt. The trip begins with a day to explore the arctic town of Tromso, then board the Norwegian Coastal Voyage, for an overnight voyage to Svolvaer, the capital of the enchanting Lofoten Islands. You'll stay in a rorbu, a traditional wooden fisherman's cabin on stilts, outfitted with basic modern comforts. Head out in the morning with your guide to Tysfjord for a killer whale safari to observe hundreds of killer whales come to feed on herring. Did you know that these mammals, also known as orca, are actually dolphins, not whales?

Day 2: Arrive at Tromso airport, and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3: Day at leisure. After dinner, embark on your ship.
Day 4: Day onboard. Disembark at Svolvaer in the late afternoon.
Day 5: Whale safari, with light lunch. Dinner in Svolvaer.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport for flight to Oslo.
