NEW 12-DAY, AIR-INCLUSIVE ANTARCTICA EXPEDITION, PRICES STARTING AT $4,299, ADDED TO NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE SPRING SCHEDULE

New York, NY, December 2006 -- A new 12-day, air-inclusive Antarctica expedition cruise, priced at $4,299 to $5,999 per person, double -- combines the lively Argentinean city of the tango, Buenos Aires, with a five-day exploration of the White Continent. "Argentina & Antarctica," just added to Norwegian Coastal Voyage's 2007 schedule, has a departure date of February 28, 2007, and is the final sailing of the season for the 464-berth MS Nordkapp, rated Ice Class C and limited to 350 passengers.

Included are round-trip flights between New York, Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, five-star hotel and breakfast in Buenos Aires, selected cabin category, all meals on board, naturalist guides, Antarctica shore landings - once or twice a day, orientation tours of Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, port charges and transfers. Add-on air is available from other US gateways; the higher rates are for suites.

Gentoo and chinstrap penguin colonies, seabirds, humpback and killer whales, elephant and fur seals - all part of the abundant wildlife seen amidst the pristine polar region of glaciers, huge icebergs and pack ice. The soft-adventure cruise, featuring naturalist guides, noted guest lecturers and PolarCirkel boat landings, explores the region and includes weather-dependent landings at Deception Island, site of an active volcano; Port Lockroy, the earliest example of a British scientific station on the Antarctica Peninsula; Half Moon Island, home to a sizable rookery of chinstrap penguins as well as terns and kelp gulls; and Cuverville Island with its many gentoo penguins. Other highlights include sailings through the narrow iceberg-lined Lemaire Channel and the stunning Neumayer Channel as well as the crossing of the Drake Passage, the connection between the southern Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
